Airport-The airport is approximately 10 miles(16 km)southwest of Chengdu.There are shuttle buses,about RMB 10 and taxis,about RMB 40,to the center of the city.Le Shan is about 75 miles(120 km)from Chengdu and will take about 80 minutes by taxi.

Bus-There are lots of buses from Chengdu to Emei Shan and Le Shan,tickets are from RMB 20 to 38 depending on the kind of bus.Buses from Emei Shan to Le Shan depart every 15 minutes,tickets are RMB 5.

Ferry-From 8am to 5pm there are ferries every ten minutes from the Giant Buddha in Le Shan to Wuyou Temple.Tickets for the tour boat are RMB 30 while the regular ferry is RMB1.

Make sure the driver is properly licensed.Flag-fall is RMB 5,but you’1l have to negotiate the price based on distance traveled.There are also many pedi-cabs at Le Shan and Emei Shan;flag-fall is RMB 2 and getting around shouldn’t cost more than RMB 10.

Taxi-Taxis in Chengdu are cheap-flag-fall is RMB 5 and moving from one end of the city to the other shouldn’t exceed RMB 20.In Emei Shan and Le Shan flag-fall is RMB 3,andfares to most places should be around RMB 10.Taking a taxi from Emei Shan to Le Shan will cost from RMB 50 to 60.
