1 min read

Molana Eshiding Mazar, also called as Molana Hezhuo Tomb and located between the new city and old city of Kuqa, was originally built in the mid-14th century as the tomb of Molana Eshiding, an Islamic missionary, and latterlywas expanded as a comprehensive religious site.

The Molana Eshiding Mazar, built with fane, sub temple door, ancestral hall, tomb door and four doors of coffin chamber all decorated with green glazed brick, is typical Islamic architecture and quite spectacular.

There is a horizontal inscribed board under the west porch of the temple, reading four characters “Arabian Saints”, andboth sides of which are preface written by Li Fan in the 7th year of Qing Guangxu.
