While reconstructing the old power grid in Tajikistan and Kirghizstan, TBEA started new energy construction in Central Asian countries. On February 26, 2013, a 500 kV power station contracted by TBEA New Energy Company for construction began to operate stably in the national power grid of Kazakhstan. This is the first photovoltaic grid connected power station, located in Jambyl Province in Southern Kazakhstan, where the sunlight is sufficient and annual sunshine duration is as long as 300 days which is very suitable for developing a solar grid connected power station. The owner of this project in Kazakhstan said, “As the first photovoltaic power station in Kazakhstan, this project means a lot. TBEA New Energy Co., Ltd., as a large photovoltaic enterprise group in China is able to improve the energy structure in the world and has strong strength in solar generation. We look forward to more cooperation with this enterprise in the future.

On March 5, 2011, Xinjiang Tebian Electric Apparatus Stock Co., Ltd. won the tender of electrical equipment supply for a 500 kV thermal power plant in Talimarzhan: 500 kV open-air supporting power grid project of the electric power company in Uzbekistan. The total contract value of this contract was USD 9.941 million. TBEA provided nine electric reactors and four automatic transformers, completed the construction of the new transformer substation for the Talimarzhan Power Station in Uzbekistan within 2013, and planned to use high voltage wires to connect it with the Suogejianna transformer substation, 218km away (by way of Karakapalkiya Province and Samargand Province). The total contract value of the Talimarzhan Power Station reconstruction project was USD 152 million, including USD 33.3 million owned by the Uzbekistan Power Company and USD 119 million of loans from the World Bank. The project was designed to reduce the frequency of power failure, reduce system losses, and improve power supply to residents and merchants as well as the local power export potential.

TBEA not only carries out reconstruction projects in surrounding areas of Xinjiang, but also sells its products to all the parts of the world, especially taking up a huge market in Africa. Since the first transforme product of TBEA went into the Sudan market in 1997, nearly a hundred products with different voltage levels and capacities had been operated in all the markets in Sudan by 2012. TBEA has become the largest transformer supplier in the Sudan market and earned a good reputation among users with its products of good quality and excellent after-sale services. Currently, TBEA has set up an office in Sudan to be directly responsible for the ordering, installation, debugging and maintenance of transformers in the Sudan market. In 2012, TBEA achieved the value of import and export of USD 1 billion.

TBEA has exploited the Central Asian market with its own efforts and has gone to the world. The development of Xinjiang’s enterprises drives the economic development and indirectly improves the living standard of the people in Xinjiang.
