A winking giraffe cocking its head to make eye contact with you. The city’s Beishan neighborhood is the perfect place to marvel at the latest and trendiest Zhuhai street fashion. It is here that the city’s playful chameleon character and its heart of a child is brought into full play.

JOIE DE VIVRE

MOST ADVANCED YET ACCEPTABLE

Opened in 2016 as the first”design hotel”in Zhuhai, Bei Shan Ju is simple and plain, so much so that it blends beautifully into the surroundings and aplomb of the villagers who carry on, wholeheartedly as usual, in the life of the street. The design is “non-design”, displaying the subtle beauty of art and timeless, comforting pace of the urban haven. It feels like the hotel has been there forever, like a tree grown from the Beishan soil.

Tingyun Bookstore@Beishan

Already a renowned cultural powerhouse in its own right,Tingyun Bookstore is a calm at the heart of the bustling village of Beishan, adding yet another feather to the city’s artsy hat in the shape of Beishan’s first ever elite book outlet.

Zhuhai Campus of Sun Yat-sen University

The nondescript, sci-fi aesthetic charm of the campus culminates in its main teaching building, the longest structure of its kind in Asia.

The library building of the Zhuhai Campus of Sun Yat-sen University looks like two wings fully spread. An imposing stairway of 263 steps set in between the two wings seems to be able to reach the sky.

The culinary splendor of Zhuhai is like a gift that keeps on giving-it rewards the most hypercritical gourmets amongst us with unrivalled seafood from the South China.
