Wushitang: Black Beach

1 min read

This charming beach, filled to the brim with unique black stones and pebbles, is within walking distance from the nearby Chinese Buddhist College. The beach is famous throughout Zhejiang province for its the dark coloured stones that cover its harmonious bay. With a smattering of guesthouses and restaurants over looking the picturesque bay, Wushitang is surely one of China’s most scenic harbors. From here you can take a fishing boat ride out to the sleepy fishing village of Baisha, as well as to other nearby islands. For the kids, new adventure playground on water is located just 100 meters away from the beach. Vendors selling marine goods and seafood congregate on the beach’s far side. Interestingly the bay’s seawall has been covered with colourful fisherman folk art murals. If you come to Putuo, be sure not to miss this charming little slice of heaven.
