The Seeding Festival, which is called”Tehmzuwast”in Tajik language with the meaning of “seeding a traditional festival in Tajik. This festival is in the first day of spring sowing. On this day, every family will bake naan and”Daliyo(made of crushed cheese and crushed boiled barley). The neighbors visit each other and when the guests come out, the women will follow tightly to sprinkle water to pray harvest. people symbolically put some seeds in the pocket and request the old people who are skilled in farm work to sprinkle seeds on the and When the old people do this, fireworks should be ignited. When one person is sprinkling the seeds, others will raise the clothes widely to have the seeds which will be brought back home fall into in their arms. Then, people request a lucky old lady to sit in the center of the land, and one person digs and around her symbolically. then people distribute the left seeds in the pocket reciprocally and dig channels to divert the water into farmlands. At this point, people and children sprinkle some water on the bodies reciprocally to celebrate harvest in advance.

Saban festival

Saban Festival, also called Plough Festival, is a traditional festival in Tatar and it is held in a place with beautiful scenery, lush grass and enough water inthe season of spring ploughing every year. As the earliest agricultural tool for Tatar people to plough, it once concluded long history for Tatar to use the lagged crossed pickaxes to plough and extremely promoted the development of productive forces of tatar In order to commemorate the historic invention of the new plough–Saban, the tatar hold a celebration from June 20 to June 25 every year. People sit on the grassland and eat various kinds of cakes and fruits. Accompanied by the lively accordion and violin, people dance ebulliently and sing dulcet songs. Many recreational activities such as singing and dancing, jumping and running, wrestling tug-of-war and horse racing will be held in the festival. the most popular activity in Tatar is jumping and running every participant put a spoon in the mouth with an egg on it. When the participants are jumping and running the egg can’t fall down, and the participant who reaches the destination first is the winner.
