Since its launch in June 2004, the Pan-PRD Program has made impressive progress in various areas drafting and securing central government approval for the Pan-PRD Regional Cooperation Framework Agreement; conceiving and actioning thePan-PRD Regional Cooperation Development Plan(2006-2020)and various plans specific to the development of transport, energy, science and technology, information technology and environmental protection. With areas for cooperation expanding and economic exchange and cooperation significantly improving, the region’s overall strength continues to increase Its successful hosting of the Fifth Pan-PRD Regional Cooperation and Development (Trade Fair) in June 2009 was effective in boosting Guangxi’s public profile, and further strengthened cooperation with other provinces and areas within the PRD.
