1 min readInclusiveness means the ability to accept different people and things.It has two meanings:rone is tolerance and the，other is accommodation.Han Shu（History of the Han Dynasty）said that an emperor couldn’t keep his throne if he wasn’t tolerant to his officials.
Inclusiveness not only refers to the broad mind，but also refers to the harmonious development of different cultures.
Historically，Beijing is located at the meeting point of the central plains，the northwest grassland and the northeast forest，featuring diverse nationalities and cultures of Northern China.Theunique location cultivates Beijingers’inclusiveness.After the Liao Dynasty（907-1125），Beijing gradually became the political and cultural centre of China.The number of minority immigrants started to increase and exchanges between different cultures became more frequent.Therefore，Beijing became more tolerant.Especially in the Yuan Dynasty（1271-1368），as one of the centres for international exchanges，inclusiveness became a main feature of Beijing and its residents with the influx of western cultures.The 2008 Beijing Olympic Games，with the theme”One World，One Dream”and the theme song”Welcome to Beijing，”served as a vivid interpretation for Beijing’s inclusiveness.
With the aim of turning Beijing into the most humanistic，civilized，charming and livable city，we must respect differences and tolerate diversity and，fulfill the requirements of integration，innovation，harmony and development.
