The Hui Temple of Yining is located in the Xinhua Road of today’s YiningCity, also known as Ninggu Temple,Shaanxi Temple.Believers Wu Yuanke,Xiao Chengbai and so on raised funds by themselves in the 25th year(1760)of the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty to build the temple, and it wascompleted 20 years later.People coming here to attend religious services are usually the Hui people from Ningxia,Gansu and Shaanxi.

The construction of the mosque adopts the classical palace style. The temple is divided into fourparts including the temple gate, the hall,a gallery-type lecture hall and the side hall. The temple gate is a three-layer overhanging pavilion. The Middle Palisade is provided with double splayed screen walls on two sides;the second layer is a quadrilateral pavilion equipped with the corridor around;and the third layer is a hexagonal overhanging pinnacle pavilion. The hall sitting west to east is the master building of the temple, which is a triple-folding herringbone-beam building vertically decorated with roof ornaments in the middle. The lecture hall is a four-layer overhanging pavilion, and the side hall is a new building. The total area of the temple is approximately larger than 3,000m².The ancient elms in the courtyard nearly reach the sky,and the environment is quiet and beautiful.
