The scenic spot is located in the transition zone between the southwest edge of Gurbant ngg t Desert and the oasis, with a broad scope of desert, and sand dunes are mainly the branch sand ridges and honeycomb dunes in northwest-southeast direction on the whole. Dunes are generally fixed and semi-fixed of 10-20m high, and the sand is mainly the fine sand. There are a great number of depressions among the dunes, and sometimes there would be pondings; there are mainly the xerophytic and desert shrubs with the vegetation coverage of 20-30%, such as Haloxylon, Calligonum Mongolicum, Rose willow, Nitraria, Halimodendron halodendron, Ceratoides latens, and Reaumuria soongorica. The only arbor is Populus euphratica, and herbs include Alhagi Sparsifolia, Karelinia caspica, Reed, Aristida adscensionis, and Allium mongolicum Regel and so on.
The animals that can be usually seen in the dune district are Mongolian gazelles, hares, foxes Gerbillinae, lizards, eagles and so on Dream Camel Bell Slope was first called by a Taiwan tourist, who had a dream with the mixed emotions after seeing the primeval, rough and endless desert, and then he named the desert according to his dream. It is a typical example of the southwest edge of Gurbant ngg t Desert. There is the Mosuowan Desert Station nearby the desert built by Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Desert, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
