Here is perhaps most known for sharing a border, the Yalu River, with North Korea. You can still visit the remnants of the Great Wall built during the Ming Dynasty at Tiger Mountain,an attraction that was once long forgotten but has now been redeveloped.The Yalu River is still the biggest attraction and the International Friendship Bridge spanning the river connecting China and North Korea is a highlight for many tourists.

Economically,the city itself is fast becoming an important shipping hub in Liaoning and has built two large economic zones for international trade.Less than three hours by car from the capital Shenyang it is easy to reach and is also a good place to catch a ferry to South Korea for a longer,if not farther away view of North Korea.
