Wuzhou

In 2008, Wuzhou was designated as a national land transportation hub by the Ministry of Transport. The Wuzhou section of the national trunk route the Guangzhou-Kunming Highway has opened to traffic, linking the highway to Nanning in the west and Guangdong in the east. The highway to Guilin in the north will soon open to traffic. The Wuzhou stretch of the Luoyang-Zhanjiang Railway went into service in 2009, and construction of Nanning-Guangzhou High-Speed Railway has been accelerated. Phase II of dredging work on the Guigang-Wuzhou section on the main channel of the Xijiang Waterway is almost complete. Wuzhou serves as a connecting station to all large-sized cities in the country with flights to Nanning, Guangzhou,Shenzhen, etc.

 There are over 250 scenic spots and cultural relic sites, including the area of terraced buildings combining Chinese and Western architecture styles, the Dragon’s Mother Temple, White Cloud Mountain Park, the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, the Former Residence of Li  Jishen, Shuangdao Island Folk Customs in Cangwu County, Mt. Shibiao and Taiping Lion Mountain in Tengxian County, relics of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom in Mengshan County, Longding Mountain Park, rafting at Baishuangjian, and Mt. Shimiao in Cenxi City.
