The Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon,along the Yarlung Tsangpo River in Tibet,China,is regarded as the deepest canyon in the world,and at 504.6 kilometers is slightly longer than the Grand Canyon in the United States, making it one of the world’s largest.

As the canyon passes between the peaks of the Namcha Barwa and Gyala Peri mountains,it reaches an average depth of about 5,000 meters around Namcha Barwa.

The canyon’s average depth overall is about 2,268 meters,the deepest depth reaches 6,009 meters.This is one of the deepest canyons on Earth.

The Grand Canyon is rich in forest resources.There are rare and unique plants,and wildlife a imals,such as king cobras,leopards, red pandas,musk deer,monkeys,tigers and virgin forests.

Many kinds of wildlife exit here,so the Canyon is regarded as the Gene Pool of Biological Resources,whilst enjoying fame as a Geological Museum because of the various geological phenomena.
