1.Brieflntroduction

Yellow Crane Tower,located on Snake Hill ofWuhan,in Hubei province,is one of the”Three Famous Towers South of Yangtze River(the other two:Yueyang Tower in Hunan and Tengwang Tower in Jiangxi)”.It is one of the most well-preserved ancient buildings as well as a famous tourist site in China.It is also a special symbol ofWuhan city.

2.Yellow Crane Tower

The Yellow Crane Tower was first built in 223 AD during the three-kingdom period. Originally used for military to observeothe nemy’ es activity, and then the tower gradually became a scenic attraction. The current tower was completed in 1985.

With yellow upturned eaves, each floor seems to have been designed to resemble a yellow crane spreading its wings to fly. It stands 51.4 meters high and has 5 floors.

The hall is on the first floor. On the wall, there is a nine-meter(about30feet) long and six-meter(about 20 feet) wide painted porcelainOpicture. Theclouds, rivers and cranes in the picture represent a romantic mood in the heaven.On the second floor, there are various miniature? copies of styles from Tang Dynasty to Qing Dynasty.

On the thirdfloor, there are something about Chinese ancient culture-poem. Because of Cui Hao’s poem, the Yellow Crane Tower is also called Cui Hao’s poem tower.

On the fourth floor, there’ re a lot of works made by the modern calligraphersOand painters when they visited the Yellow Crane Tower.

If you want to enjoy the Yangtze River and the view of Wuhan, the good choice is to go to the fifth floor.

3.Yellow Crane Tower Park

The Yellow Crane Tower Park extends like a belt from west to east along the Snake Hill.It covers a length of 1,000 meters and an area of 200 mu.
