Nantian Ecological Tourist Zone was constructed with the investment from Tianxing Tourist Industrial Co，Ltd.With science and technology in agriculture and forestry as its theme，Nantian Ecological Tourist Zone serves as a large combination of agriculture and forestry science education，forestry ecological tourism and leisure vacation tour.Located in Taling，Tianya Town，Sanya，Hainan Province，Nantian Ecological Tourist Zone adjoins Tianya-Haijiao Scenic Area inthe east，and Nanshan Temple in the west.The total planning area of the tourist zone is 171.68 hectares，where the scenic spots that have been open to the public include the Orchid World，the Garden of Exotic Flowers and Rare Fruits，the Botanic Garden of Cactus，Tropical Fruit Orchard，the Soilless Culture Garden，Ocean Museum and other scenic parks of Nantian Waterfall，the Evergreen Pine and the Luck Tree.There are also Nantian Tea House，Orchid Craft Workshop, the House of Genetically Modified Plants and folk shows with characteristics of Li and Miao minorities.

The whole garden was constructed along the mountain. The path on the right side of the garden leads to the Botanic Garden of Cactus that gathers over 200 kinds of cacti from all over the world to paint the world with variouscolors. Most incredibly, there is a 200-year-old,17-meter-high cactus called “the Giant from Desert”. At the center of the garden stands a cactus pyramid made of colorful cacti. Looking around, you’ ll feel as if you were in a cactus museum. Besides the different shapes, you can also learn about the medicinal and practical value of cactus. The Botanic Garden of Cactus is full of hundreds of desert plants, among which there is a kind of cactus from Mexico, the country of cacti, standing towering like a giant, face to face with the colorful pillar consisting of cacti. What’s more, you’ lI be further astonished in the Garden of Exotic Flowers and Rare Fruits, for the crops there are growing totally out of your imagination: golden pumpkins are bigger than a television, and won’t go bad after months; gourds are half-purple and half-red; gourds are grafted to pumpkins to create gourd-like pumpkins; or gourds are grafted to balsam pears so thata new “monster”is born.

In the Orchid World there are over a thousand kinds of orchids rare around the world contending in fragrance and fascination, including Vanda, ascocenda, dendrobium, phalaenopsis, cattleya, oncidium, mokara, Chinese orchid and paphiopedilum. In the Soilless Culture Garden plants that should have their roots deep into the soil are stretching their bodies in the water spray, vines are hung with rich fruits and enlacing the water pipes to reveal the magic of technology.
