Massage Bathing Method

3 min read

If you have never had a massage it is hard to explain what you are missing. Just understand that a massage is one of the best ways to relieve pain, remove tension and take the first step toward total body recuperation.

Now any combination of these six methods will work wonders and from my own experience they do, so you can pick and choose or fully commit to all knowing that the advise is right on. The following nine steps, which serve as an excellent guide can help bring you to a relaxed state and offer additional advise to fully appreciate what you are doing for your body and your mind.

Step 1-Cleaning

Whether it is the pollution we come in contact with every day or the mental pollution we are mired with in the form of stress, cleaning our bodies is the first step to relaxation.A good shower can set us in the right frame of mind for our journey into the healing waters.

Step 2-Exhilarating

This can be taken in many ways. The idea here is to focus our thinking on what we are looking to accomplish. Here is where the hot and cold therapy combinations work best as they alert our senses to the new feelings of the water.

Step 3-Feeling the Water

Whether it is temperature or salinity or the herbal ingredients that have been added, test the waters before you enter them. You need to be comfortable in your surroundings before you can relax.

Step 4-Soaking in the Bath

Slow down is the advice here. Not jump in jump out and back to the office. Sit down andlet the water do its work, this is not a race but a chance to let the world melt away.

step 5-Wiping Skin

Many of the additional spa treatments revolve around skin scrubs, exfoliating and other skin treatments. Our skin is the biggest organ of our body and gets the most abuse, take the time to clean and wipe away all that is not pure or at its best.

Step 6-Relaxing

Nothing could be simpler to say yet harder to achieve. Stop worrying about everything, slow down, and take a rest. You are there to enjoy yourself and take as much time as you need.

step 7-Wearing Sachet

Here the translation is a bit hard to work with but the idea is to envelope yourself with pleasing aromas. Aromatherapy can seem a bit silly and even too feminine to many guys but it is something to enjoy. Different herbs and flowers have a calming effect on the body and mind and can help us to relax. Additionally, the sense of smell is one of the most powerful senses we have and is closely connected to our memories-think about the smell of chocolate chip cookies, fresh cut grass, lavender fields and you will get the idea behind aromatherapy.

Step 8-Quietening the Mind

This is the next step past relaxation. We may claim to be relaxed sitting on the couch watching television or texting on our smart phone but we are not truly removed from our stress. Take the time to block out all of your troubles and just meditate on something, anything that is a happy thought.

Step 9-Thanksgiving

This too can be interpreted in many different ways.I do not want to get too philosophical or weird but to me this just means to be happy. Find some simple happiness and then share your happiness with those around you.

Visiting a hot spring is about finding a path to relaxation and the above is a great guide.

Now this regimented lock-step approach may sound a bit authoritarian but it is a very simple group of steps right? These are something we can all use whether we are at a hot spring or just out in our ordinary lives.
