Located at the northwest of Mount Jinggangshan,Huangyangjie Post is 1343 meters above the sea level. With diffuse fogs, the post looks like the boundless ocean stretching to the horizon,so it was also named Wangyangjie.

On Aug.30th,1928,the enemy troops from Jiangxi and Hunan provinces attacked Mount Jinggangshan with 4 regiments. Our army and people, under the leadership of the regimental commander Zhu Yunqing, the Party representative HeTingying and the battalion commander Chen Yi’an,made resistance to the enemy’s attacks and repulsed them for many times which resulted in the great victory at Huangyangjie Post.

To celebrate the victory at Huangyangjie Post,in 1965,the Monument to the victory at Huangyangjie Post was built with Zhu De’s inscription”The Monument to the Victory at Huangyangjie”.
