Buying a walking stick for Huang Shan might seem an unnecessary purchase, but after the first day of climbing, the usefulness of such an aid will quickly become obvious. These walking sticks are cheap at less than RMB 10. Three kinds of tea are cultivated on Huang han, Maofeng, Houkui and Qihong. Maofeng is particularly known for its flowery fragrance. Anhui is a major production center for the “Scholar’s Four Treasures(wenfang si bao which consists of high quality Xuan paper per(xuanzhi), Shexian ink stones(sheyan), Huizhou ink sticks(huimo) and Xuancheng calligraphy brushes(xuancheng maobi).
