1 min readBraid Stitch is mainly utilized in Leishan County with the paper cut sample attaching to the embroidery cloth first before the work begins.
The color silk lines are usually braided by hand with 8, or 13 lines to the breadth of 3mm. The braided silk bands are wounded on the paper cut on cloth from outside to inside before stitched to the cloth with the silk lines of the same color. The works made with this technique have the looks of straight forwardness, earthiness, massyness and tamelessness.
The best of the works of Braid Stitches are noted for good pattern, even distribution and density of the braid bands and coordinated colors.
