Bo’ao Aquarium

Bo’ao Aquarium is located in Bo’ao Town，Qionghai City，Hainan Province，with a construction area of 4，300 square meters.It is one of the 2012″4.18 “projects，therefore it gets an investment of 50 million Yuan.From the signing of the project to completing and putting into use，it only took five months.Meanwhile it is also the most rapid developed one in the series of”4.18 “projects.

The whole Bo’ao Aquarium display area is divided into tropical forest，the coral sea，marine mammal display area，treasure sea area，the beach of shallowarea，seabed Grand Park，sea turtle display，shark display，and so on.The total storage capacity of the aquarium is 1，500 tons.And there are more than 800 species of aquatic plants and animals，with more than 3，000 fishes.Therefore iis a collection of sightseeing，entertainment，education，tourism and leisure as one of the large-scale sea world.

Here visitors will enjoy the tropical plants throughout the country’s biggest stereo aquatic ornamental cylinder，aquatic plant and animal unique in the tropical rainforest，and the most complete varieties of corals from the South Sea.You can see whale skeleton stranded in the west coast of Hainan and short-finned pilot whale specimens stranded in Bo’ao beach，and also can touch small marine organisms such as the turtle，starfish，conch and watchshark dance performances.In addition，the aquarium also carefully designs edutainment wall and more than 10 pieces of popular science knowledge plate，to introduce a variety of marine knowledge and marine organisms.

According to the experts，the construction of Bo’ao Aquarium fills the gaps of no large-scale sea world exhibition in Hainan，and also ends the history of Hainan people having to leave the island to visit an aquarium though living ina marine province.Meanwhile it also will enrich the city’s tourism products to an extent，and improve the grade of Hainan tourism industry.
